This section presents a structured and student-centred approach to curriculum planning, aligned with the Junior and Senior Cycle Art specifications. It incorporates carefully designed Units of Learning, differentiated lesson plans, and a comprehensive curriculum map that supports progression and coherence. Guided by inclusive frameworks such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and responsive pedagogical strategies, my planning aims to promote accessibility, student autonomy, critical thinking, and meaningful engagement with artistic practice.

The following Units of Learning were designed for both Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle, aligned with their respective structures and specifications. Each unit spans a range of media across the three strands of Art, Craft and Design, and is grounded in themes connected to students' identities, lived experiences and the world around them.

The following are examples of how I plan and structure my lessons. Each plan is built around clear learning intentions and success criteria, with particular attention to assessment, differentiation, resources and materials. Literacy and numeracy links are incorporated throughout.
