Botanic Studies is a photographic series captured in the National Botanic Gardens, focusing on close-up details of tropical plants housed within greenhouse environments.

The images are digitally manipulated to heighten colour and atmosphere, emphasising the exotic and artificial qualities of these curated spaces.

By exaggerating saturation and tone, the series reflects on the tension between natural growth and the controlled conditions that allow these plants to thrive outside their native habitats.
